- After a vowel or ㄹ: ㄹ수록, as in 볼수록 bolsurok. After other consonants: 을수록, as in 먹을수록 meogeulsurok.
- Often the stem comes twice, first with (으)면: 보면 볼수록 bomyeon bolsurok, "the more I look".
- After a noun, use 일수록 ilsurok.

7 questions읽다 + (으)ㄹ수록
With or without (으)면?
You can say it either way, and both mean "the more I see it, the more I like it". 볼수록 좋아요 bolsurok joayo is shorter. 보면 볼수록 좋아요 bomyeon bolsurok joayo repeats the verb, which makes it a little stronger, and you'll hear both. Just remember that the first half follows the usual (으)면 rule: 먹으면 먹을수록 meogeumyeon meogeulsurok.
The stem changes for irregulars
Before (으)ㄹ수록, irregular stems change the same way they do before other endings that start with 으:
- 덥다 deopda → 더울수록 deoulsurok, "the hotter it is"
- 듣다 deutda → 들을수록 deureulsurok, "the more you listen"
A stem ending in ㄹ stays as it is and just adds 수록: 살다 salda → 살수록 salsurok, "the longer you live".
갈수록: a word of its own
갈수록 galsurok comes from 가다 gada, "to go", and it now works as a word meaning "as time goes on": 날씨가 갈수록 추워져요 nalssiga galsurok chuwojyeoyo, "The weather keeps getting colder." If you want to say it more fully, there's 날이 갈수록 nari galsurok, "with each passing day".
