두 개 씩 가져가세요.

Take two each.

씩 vs 마다

마다 mada means "every" and goes on the thing that repeats. 씩 goes on the amount you get each time:

  • 날마다 운동해요. nalmada undonghaeyo "I exercise every day."
  • 하루에 한 시간씩 운동해요. harue han siganssik undonghaeyo "I exercise an hour a day."

They often team up in one sentence:

  • 사람마다 두 개씩 가져가세요. sarammada du gaessik gajyeogaseyo "Everyone take two each."

씩 on question words

씩 also works with 얼마 eolma · how much and 몇 myeot · how many. It's what you use to ask a price per item:

  • 이거 얼마씩이에요? igeo eolmassigieyo "How much are these each?"
  • 몇 개씩 줄까요? myeot gaessik julkkayo "How many should I give each person?"
